About Us
We have been serving the Catholic community for over 36 years in Melbourne. This began as a small prayer group spreading the message and devotion to Our Lady of Fatima.
We are a member of the World Apostolate of Fatima, headquaters in Domus Pacis, Portugal. This devotion began as Our Lady of Fatima's Blue Army. We are committed in making known the message of Fatima: for the conversion of sinners and the salvation of the world.
Our Apostolate here in Melbourne has grown over the years in response to Our Lady's call to help others. Our Lady calls us to pray the Rosary daily, to offer penance, prayer and reparation for poor sinners.
In August 1917 Our Lady of the Rosary (Fatima) said to Francisco, Jacinta and Lucia: "Pray, pray very much. Make sacrifices for sinners. Many souls go to hell, because no one is willing to help them with sacrifice."
May you respond to Our Lady's plea as the world is in much need of prayer right now.
The most important dimension of the Fátima event was not the supernatural or the preternatural phenomena, but the content and the meaning of the message communicated to the children. By following this message their spiritual lives were elevated to the heights of sanctity, to which the canonistaion of Jacinta and Francisco in 2017 testifies, and the hope and possibility of the conversion of the world from its ruinous course was offered to mankind.
This message can be seen as comprising two essential elements, to which all others can be related in some way. The first of these elements is the singular role of the Immaculate Heaert of Mary in the economy of salvation, a dogmatic fact. God does not have whims, and so the request of the Almighty that devotion to the Immaculate Heart be established in the world must be founded on reality and presumes that such devotion is justly given to the Mother of God.
The second of these elements involves the practical order, the value of devotion to the Immaculate Heart for the individual life and for the future of the human race. To this element are connected the various spiritual practices encouraged by the Angel and by Our Lady, as well as the prophetic content of the message, upon which the fate of the world depends. Without the first element, the dogmatic, the practical dimension of the message of Fátima would be entirely arbitrary.
The members of the World Apostolate of Fatima are requested to make a pledge:
- To offer up every day the sacrifices demanded by my daily duty.
- To pray five decades of the Rosary daily, while meditating on the Mysteries. Or also you have the option to pray the Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
- To wear the Scapular of Mt Carmel as profession of the promise and as an act of consecration to you.
- To accomplish the devotion of the First Five Saturdays of the month, including fifteen minutes of meditation on the Mysteries of the Rosary.
Our Lady's promise concerning The First Five Saturdays "I promise to help at the hour of death, with the Graces needed for salvation, whoever on the first Saturday of five consecutive months shall:
- Confess and receive Holy Communion.
- Recite five decades of the Rosary.
- Keep me company for fifteen minutes while meditating on the Mysteries of the Rosary.
- With the intention of making reparation to me.
Success, or lack of it, depends ultimately on how many of us heed the peace plan from Heaven.
Our lady told humanity in the end my Immaculate Heart will triumph, then God will grant an era of peace to mankind.
